Meet the Team

The following profiles are written against the wishes of the below individuals. Most of them hate talking about themselves, and the marketing team had to coerce them into publishing the profiles.

Nikhilesh Ghushe

Nikhilesh Ghushe

Program Director

A poet at heart, an entrepreneur by practice and a Kashmir Shaiva in his worldview, Nikhilesh has (according to him inadvertently) helped numerous individuals find their Dharma leading to their path to happiness, often by confronting them (according to him uncontrollably).

Having studied at IIT Bombay and having spent two decades in startup leadership roles in deep tech, healthcare and media, yet deeply rooted in wisdom of the Shastras, he bridges the divide between ancient wisdom and modern life and has a unique ability to help people deeply reflect and arrive at the right life choices. His day job also aspires to bridge this divide, by leading a research startup applying Navya-Nyaya to computer science.

Fun fact: True to the Nyaya Shastrartha tradition, Nikhilesh has this endless appetite for arguing, but nobody minds it, because it's rarely personal.

Dhrupad Vipat

Dhrupad Vipat

Founder

An engineer by training and an entrepreneur by choice, Dhrupad is the founder of Dharmic Academy and the youngest member of the team. He considers himself blessed to be working alongside individuals at Dharmic Academy. As a leader, Dhrupad is known for his empathy, cooperation, and willingness to step in wherever needed. Everyone describes him as, he is "a man for all seasons" dependable, versatile, and grounded. At the core of his work is a simple aspiration: that every individual finds a deeper sense of fulfilment in their life.

Before starting Dharmic Academy, he was part of startup teams focused on building Dharmic digital products for Bharat. Coming from a family rooted in Dharmic traditions, his early life was shaped by these values. However, stepping out for his education brought him face-to-face with the realities of modern life. Over time, he began to sense a gap a quiet feeling that something essential was missing in the way he was living. His urge to find answer to that gap eventually led him to Nikhilesh ji, who guided him to align his life with Dharma.

Fun fact: Being the youngest in the team, Dhrupad often finds himself balancing between learning from everyone and quietly ensuring things keep moving forward.

Akhilesh Ghushe

Akhilesh Ghushe

Facilitator

A natural storyteller, a lover of everything Bharatiya, and a hoarder of all kinds of knowledge from ancient to contemporary, Akhilesh ji is the mentor you always wished you had but could never find.

Having been born in a family of eminent Sanskrit scholars and having spent more than two decades in senior roles in a large technology corporations, Akhilesh ji deeply understands the dichotomies that exist in our modern lives. He has mentored young interns and senior leaders alike in overcoming these dichotomies to find clarity, in a friendly unassuming manner.

Fun fact: Akhilesh's head contains this huge index of knowledge sources, which gets autoactivated in any conversation, often in the form of stories, which he can back up with a source by pulling out the exact book from his collection.

Kunal Sharma

Kunal Sharma

Facilitator

An artist at heart, a bioengineer by training, and a soft-spoken thoughtful communicator, Kunal San has founded and been part of multiple successful and failed startups and achieved significant monetary success in his entrepreneurial journeys. Certain personal experiences led him to the realization that true fulfilment lies beyond financial success, which followed a journey of discovery through ancient Indian wisdom, starting with Ashtavakra Gita and eventually leading to Srividya upasana.

Trained at IIT Delhi and London Business school and having been an inventor of 20+ patents across technologies including AI, blockchain, robotics, crypto, quantum and biological systems he also discovered firsthand that technology can be a foe than a friend unless it's rooted in Dharma. Though his endless rants against technology-driven lifestyle and crony capitalism are often boring, they are tolerated by the team because of his innate benevolence.

Fun fact: The "San" in Kunal San comes from a Japanese inventor partner who'd address him like that.

Darshan Mujumdar

Darshan Mujumdar

Advisor

Darshan's professional journey has been rooted in the software and knowledge industries for over twenty years. An alumnus of IIT Bombay, he spent much of his career navigating the complexities of high-growth environments, most recently leading the India operations for a global technology firm.

Through years of working closely with talented individuals and leading large teams, Darshan began to notice a quiet, recurring pattern: while many achieved the milestones of professional success, few felt a true sense of lasting fulfilment. This personal inquiry into purpose and the "why" behind our daily efforts brought him closer as an advisor to Dharmic Academy, which the team is grateful for, as it brings attention to practicality, which the other more-dreamy members often lack.

Fun fact: The name Darshan suggests his parents wanted him to be a philosopher, our team believes he's finally shedding his skin of a technologist to discover the philosopher within him.
